How Much Water Should You Drink Per Day?

Is the water we drink just as important as the air we breathe?

Everyone knows that water, this precious liquid, is essential in our lives. Without it, we cannot survive. Our body is full of water, and we lose it as we move and sweat, so it is absolutely essential that we compensate for these losses as soon as we feel them.

First, what kind of water to drink?
There are no real rules in this area. Nowadays, even if tap water is very controversial, it remains more than acceptable in most countries. (See our article: Tap Water, Bottled Water: Which One to Choose?) As well as that though, it is a matter of taste; some like still water, others prefer sparkling water. However, in our opinion, privileging still water is more in line with good health, because it does not bring any particular problems with it, only benefits.

Let's move on to the planned number of liters
Generally, 1.5L per day is recommended, but often, a person who follows this advice can easily drink 2L in their day, because most of the time, we also drink coffee, tea, as well as eating fruits which, we often forget, are also full of water.

How to have your ideal quota?
Every morning, when you get up, half a glass of water with a few drops of lemon in it will get you in shape to start the day off well. In the middle of the morning, a large glass of water can allow you to patiently wait for lunch. Contrary to a preconceived idea, it is recommended to drink while eating, to activate the absorption of food, so, a glass of water therefore also seems an excellent solution at lunchtime. In the afternoon, you can opt for another form of liquid, tea, coffee, or fruit juice. Half an hour before dinner, another glass of water will line your stomach and bring a feeling of satiety, thus it can make you feel less hungry. Depending on your needs, you can have a drink if you so wish, during supper.

In our view, we should remember that the ideal method is to always have a bottle of water close to you. Why?

•    We see the level dropping throughout the day, and thus get a feeling of having fulfilled our contract!
•    We drink it without really realizing it, which is not negligible over the hours that pass.
•    We do not forget to hydrate ourselves, a very important parameter.

If you follow these few tips, you will have everything to gain:
•    First, great skin
•    A substantial aid during a diet
•    A way to get rid of all the impurities that are in our body
•    Promote a good memory
•    Finally, avoid painful cramps.

So… cheers!
